If you're like the majority of the population, you may be stuck in the addictive mindset of negative thinking. We're often surrounded by negative thinkers, gloom & doom news, and negative suggestive messages by the media, forcing us to constantly consider what is wrong with the world, rather than what is right. For most people, they are so caught up in these negative mindsets, that they aren't even aware that they are addicted to their own negative thinking.
However, because you're here on this site, you are part of the growing population who is delving deeper into a journey of living a more positive, free, and happy life, by finding ways to shift their destructive thought patterns to more positive ones.
One way to achieve changing these mindsets is by using Neurolinguistic Patterning (NLP) coaching to rewire the mind to experience more positive thoughts in order to achieve more positive behavior, while locking in these new mindsets at a subconscious level with hypnosis. However, there are other things you can do to kick-start yourself into a new way of thinking, which you'll find has positive effects on your behavior.
Positive psychologists have found that shifting your mind for 21 days can create more positive thinking at an automated level.
Here are some ways you can change:
Every day, for 21 days, do the following:
1. Write down 3 things you’re grateful for. Gratitude wires your brain to focus on the positive.
2. Write: any new positive insights/learnings about yourself & your growth. Doing so provides
consistency with your unconscious mind to focus on your achievements & where you’re going.
3. Exercise 20-30 minutes doing something you enjoy, even if it’s a light walk. Getting fresh air & raising your heart rate increases seratonin (the happy chemical). :-)
4. Meditate. Any way you’d like, even if in bed, or even for just a couple of minutes/day. Taking time out to center decreases stress levels, creates peace of mind, and keeps you on the cause side of your life.
5. Do 1 random act of kindness. Doing so boosts serotonin and keeps you less focused on yourself, and more on others.
